Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking an Experienced Heavy Equipment (Utility) Operator in Butler, Georgia / Butler Georgia operations area, Georgia SMA reporting to the Plant Manager. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.
Job Details:
\n - Wages start at $21.00hr, Starting wage based on experience.
\n - Fulltime/Permanent
\n - Day Shift (6:35 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.
\n - Weekend work may be required
\n - Overtime available along with extensive medical and retirement benefits

Job Responsibilities:
\n - Operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery.
\n - Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
\n - Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management
\n - Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency
\n - Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment
\n - Other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:
\n - Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
\n - 1+ years of experience as a heavy equipment operator preferred.
\n - Previous Quarry experience preferred.
\n - Able to do safety and maintenance inspections throughout the day.
\n - Capable of demonstrating equipment and troubleshooting knowledge.
\n - Experience working with crushers, conveyors and screens preferred.
\n - Ability to understand basic safety and work instruction.
\n - Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
\n - Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
\n - Good organizational, scheduling and time management skills.
\n - Welding experience helpful along with general maintenance and repair abilities.
\n - Experience in heavy equipment operation a plus, but not required.
\n - Team player mentality.
\n - Working outdoors in varied weather conditions with the probability of dust, noise, heat, and cold.
\n - Must pass pre-employment drug testing.
