Local Team Collaboration:

  • Become part of a cohesive and long-standing team of 24 physicians with the support of a clinical performance nurse at St. Joseph's Medical Center.
  • Our team comprises clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds who lean on and learn from each other in their approach to patient care.
  • We gather frequently for lunch and monthly for team meetings.
  • H1B and J1 candidates invited to apply; access to Sound's in-house visa specialists as well as our licensing and credentialing experts; all required filing fees for the visa are paid and services covered

Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • This part-time position accepts IM or FM board certification or eligibility, with the expectation of obtaining certification.
  • Active medical license or eligible to become licensed in California.
  • We welcome interest from physicians coming out of training or physicians with experience desiring a career change.
Practice in the Heart of the Community

Flexible Scheduling:

  • This is a part-time position with various flexible scheduling options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • We work in an open ICU setting with 24/7 intensivist coverage. Our team is not required to do procedures.
  • We encourage our team to participate in hospital committees and the community.
  • For those who like to teach, we work with Family Medicine and Internal Medicine residents.
