Job Description
The House Manager is responsible for ensuring quality individual personal care, safety, sanitation, and training. The House Manager has responsibility to purchase food, supplies, and personal items for the person supported within budgeting guidelines assigned to the home. The House Manager is responsible for reviewing and forwarding all site paperwork to ensure completion, accuracy, and adhere to agency, licensure, the Department of Disability and Aging (DDA)/Managed Care Organizations (MCO), fire department, health department, and state regulations. This position is responsible for completing orientation and all other training provided and required by the agency and DDA/MCO. This position will maintain appropriate license and vehicle information to provide safe transportation for persons supported. The House Manager is directly supervised by the Program Coordinator.

1. Supports the individual with personal care and daily routines, and in achieving outcomes from the Individual Support Plan.
2. Understands and practices SH & SLS philosophy and values in interactions with service recipients and community members by using respectful language, connecting consumers to preferred activities and experiences, and ensuring that service recipients have on-going information from which to make choices.
3. Helps service recipients become integrated with the community by ensuring that they are included, respected, valued and have a variety of preferred relationships in the community of their choice.
4. Assures safe transport and accompany service recipients as needed to events, job sites, and medical appointments, utilizing SH & SLS vehicles, personal vehicles, or public transportation. This would include securing alternate transportation in instances where non-SH & SLS personnel who present safety concerns transport service recipients.
5. Ensures proper use of consumer and agency resources including but not limited to consumer funds, vehicles, buildings, utilities, telephones, money, equipment, food and supplies.
6. Attends all training meetings assigned by SH & SLS.
7. Cooks and provides meals based on scheduled menus
8. Performs daily activities or teaches service recipients to do so, such as activities of daily living skills and other personal skills that work toward achieving independence.
9. Consistently works and documents improvement toward meeting outcomes.
10.Oversees storage and administration of medications.
11. Keeps service recipient neat and clean with as much assistance from service recipient as possible.
12. Keeps house clean and does laundry with as much assistance from the recipient as possible.
13. Protects confidentiality of service recipient.
14. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
