Volt is immediately hiring an Injection Mold Operator in Chicopee, MA 01022

As an Injection Mold Operator, you will be responsible.

Responsibilities:

• Perform work in accordance with documented procedures in Traveler package.
• Ensure product inspection criteria are observed and implemented throughout work shift.
• Ensure timely arrival at workstation and follow posted break and lunch schedules.
• Follow department work schedule such that machine coverage ensures continuity in production.
• Follow department procedures related to dress code and proper handling of product.
• Track production, scrap, downtime, and machine adjustments that have been performed.
• Stop production and inform supervisor when product does not meet specifications.
• Document production on forms provided to enable accountability.
• Demonstrate care in the use of calibrated measuring instruments provided for the performance of job function.
• Ensure proper function of all tools provided for the inspection and production of product.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Observe all safety requirements in the work area.
• Follow good housekeeping practices in work area at all times.
• Have knowledge of ISO procedures and Quality policy.
• Control non conformances to prevent unintended shipment.
• Ensure all product not meeting specifications are segregated and properly marked.

Skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to follow documented procedures and processes
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Bilingual communications skills a plus

Location Chicopee, MA 01022

Duration: 12 Months

Shift Timing: 1st shift.

Pay Range: $16.00/hr.- $18.00/hr.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
