Currently Seeking a Lab Technician - NO experience needed! Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting fire and flammability tests, maintaining lab cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely communication. This role involves physical labor and requires adherence to strict safety procedures in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. Responsibilities

• Follow safe work practices at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service through email, phone, or in-person communication.
• Respond to customer questions within 2 hours and update them on test results by the end of the day.
• Maintain cleanliness of control room, lab, conditioning, and loading bay areas daily.
• Check chart recorder for proper conditioning and review the schedule for flammability work.
• Check inventory of consumable supplies and order materials as needed.
• Ensure the propane fuel source is shut off and vented at the end of the day.
• Dispose of flammability samples in the appropriate dumpster to avoid overnight hazards.
• Conduct routine fire/flammability tests and generate appropriate reports.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to the posted schedule.
• Assist with shipping and receiving as needed.
• Manage the fire dumpster, monitoring for re-ignition and arranging pickup/drop off.
• Manage external and internal calibrations.
• Assist with other bedding-related duties as needed.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in data entry.
• Capability to work in a fast-paced and labor-intensive environment.
• Understanding of data collection and interpretation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Physical ability to lift 50-75 lbs.
• Experience with fire testing, burn testing, and mattress burning is preferred.
