Position Overview: The Manager of Member Programs collaborates across the association to execute programs, content and education to strengthen engagement of CEOs and other key stakeholders in CBA's consumer-packaged goods member companies. Reporting to the Director of Events and Meetings, this role manages the association’s virtual educational offerings and contributes to the content planning and speaker preparation for CBA's flagship in-person events. This role is a key member of the industry engagement team that creates white-glove member experiences.

Program Execution

  • Manage end-to-end content creation for all educational offerings, including content agenda, run of show development, drafting remarks and questions.

  • Serve as a contributor to flagship in-person events by supporting speaker outreach, preparing scripts and remarks and helping develop run of show documents

  • Build and create project plans for delivering virtual education opportunities including convening subject matter experts, managing event registration, crafting session descriptions, collecting promotional content, fulfilling timelines, and directing the live program.

  • Manage the virtual program portfolio, including member webinars, CBA’s online bookstore, and the Food and Beverage Labeling Course.

  • Lead speaker management for all events, which may include initial outreach, follow-up, contract, pre-session calls and onsite management.

  • Draft concise, executive-facing scripts, briefing memos and other content to support moderators and presenters.

  • Team with Director of meetings and events to deliver seamless member experiences onstage at in-person major events.

  • Oversee relationship with vendors (production, DMCs, continuing education accreditation firms, course instructors and speaker bureaus) as directed to deliver on-stage and on-line experiences.

  • Partner with the communications team to promote programs, educational offerings, and speakers to drive relevant attendee registrations.

  • Partner with Industry Relations team to ensure that partner-driven webinars are fully integrated into CBA's education and webinar calendar, ensuring appropriate event preparation, promotion and internal alignment.

Program Innovation

  • Track, analyze, and offer recommendations to improve educational offerings and processes to enhance the member experience, deepen engagement and generate internal efficiencies.

  • Partner with Event Director, industry engagement staff and internal subject matter experts to identify additional programming that can engage key member communities, advance advocacy priorities, and offer revenue potential.

  • Monitor the industry landscape for business and policy trends to curate timely and compelling member content.

Requirements

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Education, Nonprofit Management, or related field.

  • 5 years of related employment, preferably in a trade association.

  • Experience creating and implementing educational programming for virtual and in-person events.

  • Production and vendor management experience is a plus.

  • Experience sourcing and managing speakers.

  • Experience preparing content and scripts for speakers, panels or event hosts is a plus

  • Exposure to corporations and executives as customers and stakeholders is a plus.

  • Ability to manage project timelines proactively and coordinate across multiple stakeholders

  • Ability to learn and develop proficiency in new systems and digital applications.

  • Advanced proficiency in Office 365 Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Zoom. Experience with Aventri/Stova and Impexium is a plus.
