divh2Medical Assistant, Stay Suites PRN Day Shift/h2pPrimarily responsible for the routine administrative and patient care supportive duties to assist medical and/or nursing staff in the examinations and treatment of patients and ensure the facility runs smoothly./ppstrongQualifications/strong/pulliTwo years previous experience/li/ulpstrongEssential Functions/strong/pulliGreet patients/liliVerify information on patient medical records/liliAssist Professional Nursing staff in a variety of tasks but not limited to: ulliTaking medical histories and recording vital signs/liliExplaining treatment procedures to patients/liliPromote patient/family understanding of the educational content and his/her involvement in the plan of care, and document record/liliPerform other clinical functions as delegated and supervised by the Professional Nurse/li/ul/liliAdheres to aseptic technique when opening sterile packages/liliAssists in work area by cleaning area/liliAssists in storing and stocking of supplies as directed and analyzes work area and make recommendations for potential cost-effective improvements/liliResponds in a timely manner to meet the needs of the patient/liliDocument patient care records and other forms according to facility policies and procedures/liliAccurately advises others responsible for care of the patient about the patients status/liliAssist in the discharge of patients following evaluation by Professional Nurses/li/ulpstrongPhysical Demands/strong/ppThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
