So,what will you be doing?

As the Plant Manager you'll direct and manage overall production, maintenance, quality and business-related activities of thesite. You'll provide tactical and strategic leadership of the site,while engaging all stakeholders to identify priorities and recommend solutionsto support the business.
  • This role will report to the General Manager, with strong collaboration among other functional areas in the organization
  • Support the development of multiple stakeholders and lead the organizations strategy
About the role:

Some of your day to day duties include
  • Create andinstill an HSE focused culture
  • Create aculture of Continuous Improvement, honed on Lean/Six Sigma principles toensure optimization of production and business processes
  • Drivingaccountability across all levels
  • Coach andmentor the site leadership team to ensure that total manufacturingobjectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Have a highbusiness acumen, understanding the intricacies of operations and P&Lmanagement
  • Monitoroverall plant performance via business systems and develop the leadershipteam to ensure performance standards are achieved
  • Be a keyinfluencer in the development of capital improvement plans, sustainabilityplans, and small capital projects to enhance the site business portfolio
  • Become thefigurehead of the site and provide complete oversight of all functionalaspects
  • Becomeinstrumental in the coaching and development of site personnel
  • Interactsregularly with senior or executive levels to promote their site and reviewfuture business plans
  • Responsiblefor long-term strategic planning and Vision for the facility
  • Representand support community service activities for the facility
  • Visionaryleader and change agent who will continue to grow the facility
  • Provenleadership capabilities, to include outstanding people skills with theability to interact across all levels of the organization and withexternal stakeholders
  • Interfacewith engineering/technical experts
  • Performother related duties as assigned
Knowledge,Skills and Experience required:
  • Bachelor'sdegree in Science or Engineering preferred
  • 12-14 years'experience in manufacturing and 5-7 years' experience in plant operationof facility
  • Ability tomanage activities of departments through subordinate managers who exercisefull supervision in terms of cost, processes, and employees
  • Ability tointerpret and analyze statistical data and financial reports
  • Ability tounderstand and resolve technical difficulties
  • Developfuture Drax leaders
  • Lean/SixSigma background preferred
  • Organizedleader with analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Engaging,demonstrating an ability to manage and influence diverse or challengingstakeholders
  • Excellentorganizational and motivational skills
  • Exceptionalcommunication and interpersonal abilities
  • IT skillsusing various Microsoft products including Excel, Word, Project,Sharepoint etc
