Job Summary

This position is located in the Office of the Executive Secretariat (OES). OES is responsible for the management of the Department of Justice's (DOJ) leadership correspondence and records. The incumbent performs a variety of analytical, research, evaluative or other professional activities in the furtherance of the Department's responsibility for formulating, assessing, and promoting policy and program initiatives in law enforcement and the administration of justice.

Major Duties

• Participating in the review and clearance of interagency policy documents involving current issues of Department-wide concern to senior policy officials.
• Executing special projects or studies assigned by OES leadership.
• Serving as a liaison between OES and its customers, including the Department's Office of Legal Policy and Executive Secretariats at other agencies.
• Developing research strategies, collecting and analyzing data, and writing reports.
• Advising management on program-related issues and policy guidelines, including drafting OES policies and guidance.
