Harris Products is searching for a high energy "go getter" to join our team in the Carthage, TN location. This individual will be an experienced team player with the ability to successfully meet targets and deadlines. 

 

High Level Overview

Position will be responsible for research and development of new Client opportunities as well as follow up of existing RFQ’s and Website inquiries in order to grow sales. This position will report to the Site Sales Manager.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Achieve targets set for revenue, sales growth and profitability by actively managing and growing designated account portfolio through acquisition / expansion into new products or new solutions
  • Manage & design solutions with a focus on fabricated parts, track RFQ’s through the quote process to completion. Manage and update the log and SalesForce with follow up information with the client to determine potential award opportunities.
  • Prospecting, research and develop potential clients in new and existing markets for potential growth opportunities. This person will also develop and maintain a database of client/prospect information.
  • Engage customers no longer purchasing products and explore opportunities for potential growth.
  • Support Customer Service with all customer issues concerning pricing, delivery, quality concerns, new product introductions and other sales responsibilities.
  • Coordinate activities with Sales, Engineering, Quality and Production on ongoing projects in effort to support customer objectives.
  • Respond to and follow up on sales inquiries from all channels including (company website, customer service, cold calls, outside sales and others) using appropriate methods.
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information weekly.
  • Periodically attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.

Qualifications and Education Requirements ( Minimum )

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales or Engineering strongly preferred; five years industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Willingness & ability to travel throughout North America, as needed (approximately two weeks per month)

  • Strong computer competency, especially with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of HVAC industry, products, and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read and understand drawings / customer prints
  • Knowledge of SAP
