RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Formulates design concepts and presentation approaches for marketing and educational needs of The Queen's Health Systems (QHS) companies with art work from concept to final production art.
• Provides technical guidance and work leadership to Marketing and Creative Services teams.
• Serves as the art director for projects/assignments as assigned.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
• Constant: sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
• Frequent: walking.
• Occasional: standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 10 pounds up to 30 pounds, twisting body, squatting, kneeling, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, frequent gripping of an object.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
• Exposure to hazardous glue fumes.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Design or Commercial Art; four (4) years, including a combination of post secondary education in Fine Arts, Design or Commercial Art and experience in graphic arts design may be substituted for the education requirement.

B. EXPERIENCE:

• In addition to the education requirement, three (3) years experience in graphic design.
• Expert knowledge of the following computer applications: Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel.
• Prior supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
