Job Summary


The Senior Travel Coordinator optimizes Masimo's on-site corporate travel program to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective travel experiences for employees, guests, and executives. This role provides advanced coordination for domestic and international travel, serves as a expert on Sabre, travel policy, and partners cross-functionally to improve travel operations and reporting. The incumbent must demonstrate high professionalism, attention to detail, and customer service excellence while balancing efficiency and compliance with company policies.


Duties & Responsibilities


Responsible for coordinating and managing the company's domestic and international travel needs in accordance with Masimo's travel policy. Arrange and confirm air, hotel, and ground transportation accommodations for employees and guests using approved vendors. Research travel options, including the lowest available fares, best routes, and optimal schedules, and present recommendations for management approval.


Research and resolve traveler inquiries, schedule changes, billing discrepancies, vendor issues, or travel emergencies. Ensure adherence to company travel and expense policies by monitoring booking activity, reporting out-of-policy exceptions, and providing recommendations for compliance improvement. Co-coordinate large-scale and group travel for company-sponsored events, trade shows, and meetings, ensuring smooth logistics and cost control. Mentor and support other team members with complex or international booking needs.


Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports summarizing travel spending, trends, and policy adherence for management review. Partner with Finance to reconcile travel expenses and verify accurate cost allocations. Maintain and update travel databases, records, and reports while ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.


Continuously evaluate the travel program to identify process improvements, cost-saving opportunities, and operational efficiencies. Stay current with travel industry trends, technology enhancements, and regulatory changes to keep Masimo's travel practices modern and compliant.


Perform other duties or special projects assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in a fast-paced corporate travel or travel agency environment handling domestic and international arrangements.
  • Proficiency on Sabre and the online booking tool, Concur
  • Strong reporting and payment platform skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service orientation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize multiple requests, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Travel Consultant (CTC) or equivalent certification.

Education

High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, or related field preferred.

Travel industry coursework or certification preferred.

Compensation:

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $27/hr - $40/hr plus benefits. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience.
