Job Description:
Manages and directs the work of two or more full time Associates while maintaining overall store accountability.
Recruits, interviews and hires store Associates. Interviews and recommends the hiring of Assistant Store Managers.
Evaluates Associates' and Management performance, recognizing Associates through coaching, reward and discipline. Recommends and executes career development and termination of ASMs and Associates.
Prepares and conducts ASM evaluations. Reviews all store Associate evaluations.
Develop top performers and consistently evaluate performance.
Empowers ASMs to assign Associate work, ensuring operational goals are met.
Oversees scheduling of Store Management and ensures adherence to store payroll budgets. Analyzes actual store payroll and controllable expenses against store budgets and makes appropriate adjustments.
Coaches, trains and develops ASMs. Sets clear goals for ASMs with their input and holds them accountable for meeting their responsibilities and objectives
Accountable for financial operations within the store (payroll, markdown compliance, cash control, petty cash, KPIs, etc.). Ensures accuracy, mitigates risk and makes continual recommendations for operational improvements.
Reviews and analyzes operational reports and audit results with ASMs. Jointly develops action plans and ensures their execution.
Collaborates with ASMs to identify store sales and business need opportunities. Jointly develops action plans and ensures their execution.
Collaborates with Merchandise ASMs to drive sales using entrepreneurial methods to maintain awareness of current fashions and market trends.
Responsible for ensuring merchandise presentation philosophies are understood and maintained. Commitment to outstanding customer service.
Exercises discretion regarding Customer Experience policies where appropriate to satisfy customers.
Maintains and supports company values.
Facilitates open communication among Associates and Management to build trust and effective teams.
Establishes and maintains positive associate relations, addresses Associate complaints and ensures all associates are treated with dignity and respect.
Ability to develop and maintain open and positive relations within the local community.
Identifies, evaluates, and resolves Customer, Associate and Management issues.
Communicates with all levels of Field Management and Home Office through effective listening skills and inquiry
