About the role As a UX/UI Designer at North, you will play a key role in crafting the visual identity and user experience of our platform. Reporting directly to the GTM Chief of Staff, you’ll own and execute design projects across product UI, marketing materials, and branding assets. Your work will directly impact how users interact with our platform and how North presents itself to the world. What you’ll do Design intuitive, scalable UI components for North’s platform Create high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and templates in Figma Develop landing pages, marketing materials (social, ads, decks, etc.), and other brand assets Establish and maintain a scalable design system to ensure visual consistency across product and marketing Collaborate with marketing and engineering teams to align design with company goals Improve the user experience by conducting research, gathering feedback, and iterating on designs Stay ahead of design trends to enhance North’s brand and user experience What you’ll need 5+ years of design experience 3+ years of delivering design solutions as a UX/UI designer Have an available online portfolio Proficiency in Figma (design systems, components, prototypes, templates) Strong visual design skills with a keen eye for typography, layout, and branding Ability to balance product and marketing design, crafting experiences that resonate with users Experience designing landing pages, social media assets, and marketing materials Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions A growth mindset, ready to iterate quickly and embrace feedback Nice to haves Experience with prototyping, especially using front-end code (e.g. HTML/CSS/JS) Experience working at a B2B SaaS or fintech startup Familiarity with cloud computing, finance, or enterprise software Experience with motion graphics or animation tools Strong storytelling skills, translating complex ideas into simple, compelling visuals Work location This is a hybrid role in our New York office (in West Village). You will work part of the time in the office and part of the time remote/work-from-home. Benefits (for U.S.-based full-time employees) Unlimited PTO. NYC office access—work in West Village as desired. 16-week fully paid parental leave (mothers can extend to 20 weeks at 50% pay). Mandatory company-wide breaks: last week of August & Dec 23–Jan 3. Healthcare: Anthem BlueCross Gold PPO, 75% employer-covered. 30-day sabbatical every 4 years. Ramp credit card for approved expenses. Compensation The base pay for this role is: 100k-130k per year. Actual compensation may vary and will be based on a candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
