Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective coordination of Cardinal Health's pharmacy operations that service acute care hospitals, hospital retail customers, ambulatory care and alternate site facilities, oncology and cardiology practices as well as retail customers. Pharmacy Services & Delivery is responsible for the prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers in accordance with customer demand and requirements of the assigned route. Prepares doses for shipment, prepares cases, wipes doses, and loads and unloads containers in keeping with the prescribed safety standards and Department of Transportation (DOT). Shift/Schedule: 40 hours weekly Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm. Weekend rotation every 3 weeks (5am-10am). Holiday rotation required. On-call rotation includes 1 weekday on call shift each week, and weekend on call every 9th weekend from Friday afternoon till Monday at 3am. Must be flexible to work other hours and days as needed. Responsibilities include preparing and making deliveries to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-cdl), packaging radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment, performing testing, loading/unloading containers, using a handheld tablet to scan customer orders for accuracy, processing packages returned from customer locations, maintaining vehicles in proper working condition and performing minor roadside repairs, and performing general facility cleaning and other duties as required. Qualifications include high school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience preferred, valid driver's license with good driving record, prior delivery driving experience a plus, ability to manage weight up to 75 pounds, may require vendor credentialing, comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours, ability to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of time, strong customer service and communication skills, flexibility to work various shifts or overtime as needed, and ability to use computers and tablets. The role requires applying acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks, learning and applying new information and methods, maintaining appropriate licenses, training and certifications, working on routine assignments with some problem resolution, adhering to quality guidelines, working under moderate supervision, and referring complex problems to supervisor.
