Ryan & Associates, in-house counsel for State Farm Insurance Companies, is seeking a paralegal to join our BI/UM team. Candidates must have knowledge of Insurance Defense Discovery procedures and litigation procedures, as well as local court rules. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, strong software/technological skills, and experience working in a paperless fast pace environment where all work is time sensitive are required for this role. Qualified candidates must be reliable, dedicated, and team-oriented with a professional appearance and demeanor. Located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, we enjoy an active, busy civil trial practice. We provide a congenial, team-oriented professional work environment with skilled support staff. We work hybrid work environment, spending some time working in office and some from home. Qualifications Prior litigation or paralegal experience, paralegal degree/certificate/certification, medical training, or relevant coursework or legal studies degree is required 3+ years of paralegal Discovery and trial experience; preferably in Insurance Defense. Plaintiff's personal injury experience will be considered.
